Furlong, aged 81, daughter of the late William and Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Furlong, a native of St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada, and a resident of Norfolk for the past 37 years, died yesterday at 12 o'clock noon at the residence of her brother-in-law, George M. Heppel, 265 East Fortieth Street. Miss Furlong was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. James Brennan, Sr. and Mrs. George M. Heppel, of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence Friday night at 7:30 o'clock. ************************************************************************ Miss Margaret C. Furlong — Funeral services for Miss Furlong, daughter of the late William and Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Furlong, whose death occurred Thursday, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. F. V. Bambrick officiating. The Rev. P. C. Blackburn, the Rev. A. J. Taylor, the Rev. E. P. Kilgalen and the Rev. P. P. Brennan were in the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Taylor paid tribute to the Christian life and character of Miss Furlong. Several selections were sung during the service by the choir of St. Mary’s Academy, with Mrs. Joseph Lex as organist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies and fern. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by Father Blackburn. Pallbearers were Joseph Furlong, Jake Versprille, Tyra Bain, John T. Callahan, Marian Bain, Herbert Brennan, James Brennan and Walter Walsh, all family connections of Miss Furlong.
