Furlong took place Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart church. Requiem mass was held by Father Drake. “Nearer My God to Thee” was sung at the offertory in the mass by Miss Gertrude Green. As the casket was being borne from the church, Miss Green sang, “Lead Kindly Light." The floral offerings were beautiful. The interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: James Holahan, John Hoy, Joseph C. Prince, William Walsh, B. Wall, William Heatherton, James E. Prince and Robert Lawler.
