Gabby of Washington, D.C., died at the residence of her son. W.R. Bassett, 333 Bossevain avenue, Ghent, at 8:45 o'clock Friday night while on a visit here. The deceased had been in failing health for some time. She was in the 63d year of her age and is survived by four children, two daughters and two sons. The funeral will be held from the residence at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The funeral of Mrs. Virginia W. Gabby of Washington, D.C., took place from the residence of her son-in-law W.B. Bass, 333 Boissevain avenue, Ghent, Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The service was conducted by Rev. W.M. Vines, D.D., of the Freemason Street Baptist church. There was a beautiful display of floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery, and the pall bearers were as follows: R.B. Fentress, Joshua Fentress, George B. Hibb, Walter Graham, George Graham, W.B. Drewry, Clarence B. Bassett and Samuel Godwin.
