John H. Gale of 7527 Chesapeake Boulevard, died on Sunday, Dec. 18, at his 
residence following a long illness. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 
First Baptist Church, Bute street, at 2 p.m. The Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor, 
officiated.

A retired ice dealer, Mr. Gale served families in the Ocean View section for 
50 years. He was born in Norfolk county.

He is survived by one son, John S. Gale; one sister, Mrs. Emma Peigle; one 
niece, Mrs. Thelma Cheatham, and other relatives.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
