D. Gale, died at the family residence, 79 Cumberland street, at 3 o'clock yesterday morning, of typhoid fever. "Little Mattie," as she was affectionately called by all who knew her, was a lovely child. Her sweet face, always lighted with a smile, was an index of her joyous heart. She was full of sunshine and happiness and scattered her joy wherever she went. The youngest of the children, she had, and held the tenderest affections of parents and brother and sister, and gave back interest to each and all the love that was lavished upon her. In the wide circle of friends she was a universal favorite. Very early in life she gave her heart to God and assumed the vows of the Church, which she kept with scrupulous care and in her conduct at home and among her friends she adorned the professions she had made. The funeral will take place from Granby Street M.E. Church Monday at 1 o'clock.
