Gale, wife of Frank H. Gale, took place from the Freemason Street Baptist Church yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock. There was a large congregation in the church, composed of friends of the deceased and her esteemed husband. Rev. T. G. Jones, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted the funeral services in the absence of the pastor of the church, Rev. J. T. Burrows, and in a beautiful and eloquent sermon paid a glowing tribute to the departed dead. He was assisted in conducting the services by Rev. W. V. Tudor, the distinguished pastor of the Granby Street Methodist Church. During the services there was music of a very sacred nature by the choir and Mr. T. O. Wise, Jr., sang two solos with great sweetness and effect. The floral offerings were in profusion and were very magnificent. Those acting as pall bearers were: Messrs. John B. Jenkins, W. A. Edwards, W. R. Butcher, W. R. Barham, W. B. Webb, J. C. Carroll, and William Seneca. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
