Virginian Pilot August 21, 1950

Eva Lowery Gale, 60, died at the residence, 1901 St. Dennis Avenue, Saturday at 
11:12 p.m., after an illness of several months. She was a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, a daughter of the late William N. and Mrs. Mary Virginia Brooks Lowery.
Survivors in addition to her husband, J Horton Gale, are 4 daughters, Pvt. 
Dorothy L. Gale, WAC, Governors Island, N.Y., Mrs. Irene Scott, Rochester, 
N.Y., Mrs. Grace L. Mayo, of Norfolk and Mrs. C.C. Morgan, formerly of Norfolk, 
and now of Greensboro.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
