The funeral of Mrs. Mary G. Gallagher was held from St. Mary's Catholic church at 
10 o'clock a.m. yesterday, and was largely attended. Requiem mass was celebrated 
by Rev. Father Edward Walsh, associate pastor of the church. Father Doherty was 
present during the service. During the offertory, Mrs. James Hughes sang, “O 
Salutaris” and “Nearer, My God,” at the close of the exercises. The remains were 
laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. 
William Long. W. B. Rudolph. M. T. Friary, E. C. Cheshire, James E. Prince, Martin 
J. Ryan. Walter S. Buchanan and Thomas Fitzgibbon.
