GALLAGHER - At the residence, No. 93 Mariner Street, Monday, April 4, 1901, at 
11:30 o'clock a.m., MARY G., wife of Wm. A. Gallagher and daughter of Hannah and 
the late Patrick Madden, in the 40th year of her age.
Funeral services from St. Mary's Catholic Church WEDNESDAY MORNING at 10 
o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.

Mrs. Mary G. Gallagher, wife of Mr. William Gallagher and daughter of Mrs. 
Hannah and the late Patrick Madden, passed away at her home, No. 93 Mariner 
Street, at 11:30 a.m. yesterday, aged 39 years. The  deceased was the sister of 
Mr. M.J. Madden and is survived by several children. The funeral will be 
solemnized from St. Mary's Catholic Church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.

 The funeral of Mrs. Mary G. Gallagher was held from St. Mary's Catholic church 
at 10 o'clock a.m. yesterday, and was largely attended. Requiem mass was 
celebrated by Rev. Father Edward Walsh, associate pastor of the church. Father 
Doherty was present during the service. During the offertory, Mrs. James Hughes 
sang, “O Salutaris” and “Nearer, My God,” at the close of the exercises. The 
remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the 
pallbearers: Messrs. William Long. W. B. Rudolph. M. T. Friary, E. C. Cheshire, 
James E. Prince, Martin J. Ryan. Walter S. Buchanan and Thomas Fitzgibbon.
