                          FALL FROM ROOF INJURES WOMAN

A 70 year-old- woman, Addie H. Gallagher, of 826 W. 48th St., was admitted to De 
Paul Hospital yesterday with a broken left hip and left shoulder, after she fell 
from a first floor extension room (roof) at her home.
She told police she found herself locked in her bedroom and could not get out. 
She crawled out of the window onto the extension roof, then slipped and fell 
about 10 feet to the ground.

Mrs. Addie Spicer Gallagher, 71, wife of Theodore George Gallagher, died at a 
Norfolk hospital Friday at 8 p.m. She was a native of Goldsboro, N.C. and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past 50 years, residing at 826 W. 48th St. at the 
time of her death.  
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Beason, of 
Honolulu, Hawaii; Mrs. Marie Bowker and Mrs. Josephine Lowery, both of Norfolk 
and seven grandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 11 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
funeral apartments Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

NORFOLK - Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Spicer Gallagher, wife of Theodore G. 
Gallagher, who died Friday night at a Norfolk hospital, will be conducted today 
at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
