Gallalee, and daughter of Martin J. and Elizabeth Kavanaugh Ryan, died yesterday afternoon at 2:50 o'clock at a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth, Mary Holden and Catherine Gallalee; three sons, Joseph F. Jr., Vincent R. and Martin B. Gallalee; one sister, Miss Elizabeth J. Ryan and two brothers, William B. and Emmett J. Ryan. The body will be taken from the residence of her parents, 4804 Newport Avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ********************************************************************** Mrs. Mary Ryan Gallalee — Funeral services for Mrs. Gallalee were conducted yesterday morning at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas E. Waters, officiating. The Revs. Joseph Brennan, of Suffolk, Julian Bullock, of Staunton, A. J. Taylor, E. P. Gallagher, R. E. Hannan, E. C Kiefer, Leo J. Ryan, E. V. Mullarkey, Michael Hartigan and John P. Ewens were present. Father Waters paid a very high tribute to the Christian life and character of the deceased. There was a large attendance, and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, pink roses and ferns. During the services, several selections were rendered by the choir of Sacred Heart School. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. Julian Bullock, of Staunton. The pallbearers were: Earle P. Hudgins, Dr. E. J. Lawler, T. A. Stareck, Fred Scherberger, Jr., Frank A. Evans, Judge O. L. Shackleford, John A. Curtis and W. W. Lee. Mrs. Gallalee was a sister of the late Rev. John Vincent Ryan, who died on May 12 of this year.
