Virginian-Pilot March 23, 1902
The charge against Delaware Taylor, who is out on bond, has been changed from 
reckless driving to murder, and the police are looking for him.
Taylor is the negro (sic) who was arrested a week ago on the charge of running 
into a buggy on Church street, throwing Mrs. Sarah Gallop to the ground and 
fracturing her arm.
Mrs. Gallop was 60 years old and the shock was too great. After lingering at the 
Protestant Hospital for nearly a week, she died Friday night at 8 o'clock. The 
funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
