The Virginian-Pilot, Sunday, January 31, 1965

NORFOLK - Samuel A. Gallop Sr. of 1510 W. 46th St. died Thursday in his home.

A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gallop 
and the husband of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Gallop. He was a member of Mother 
Church of God in Christ, manager of Broadway Manhattan Cab Co., and a member of 
Willow Grove Masonic Lodge 198.

He is survived by four sons, Rayfield Gallop of Virginia Beach and Charles 
Gallop, Samuel A. Gallop Jr. and Phillip Gallop of Norfolk, and two 
grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Mother Church of God in 
Christ by the Rev. D.L. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with C.H. 
Moseley Funeral Home in charge.
