Virginian Pilot March 20, 1990

William P. Gallop, formerly of the 2500 block of Ruffin Way, a retired boiler 
attendant, died March 17, 1990 in a nursing home.
Mr. Gallop, a native of Hertford, N.C., was the widower of Ruth Gallop.  He was 
a member of A.M.E. Zion Methodist Church, Hertford.
He is survived by a niece, Rebecca Cogdell and a nephew, Curlee Cogdell, both of 
Portsmouth.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Magnolia 
Cemetery by the Rev. Sidney Foster Jr. Graves Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.  Friends may join the family at 321 Taft Drive, Portsmouth.
