Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 8, 1999 
Fred W. Gallop Sr. of the 700 block of W. 29th St. died July 6, 1999.

Mr. Gallop, a native of Hertford, N.C., had retired from Lynnhaven Lincoln
Mercury. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and The Brotherhood.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine B. Gallop; three daughters, Kathy Brown
and Jeanette Reed, both of Norfolk, and Deborah Joyner of Portsmouth; five sons,
Fred Gallop Jr., Marvin Gallop and Donald Gallop, all of Norfolk, Rusell
Winfield of North Carolina and Lloyd W. Gallop of Fort Stewart, Ga.; a sister,
Elsie Gallop of Newark, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; an
aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Calvary Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. G.G. Cambell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk.
Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The remains
will be in the church at 9:30 a.m.
