Virginian-Pilot May 10, 1979
NORFOLK — Mrs. Margaret (sic) Murray Gallup, 69, of 5524 Texas Ave., the widow of 
John Shepherd Gallup and a native of Norfolk, died Tuesday in a hospital.
She worked for Ying's Restaurant and attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Shepherd Gallup III of Hampton and Guerry P. 
Gallup of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Friday at noon in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Walton W. 
Davis. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, has charge.
