Gallup, died at her home, 587 Church Street, Thursday afternoon, after a brief illness, she having been ill since Wednesday night. The deceased was in the 64th year of her age and was widely known and universally esteemed for her many Christian virtues. She is survived by one son, Dr. L.J. Gallup, of Norfolk, and two sisters. The funeral will be held from her late residence at 11 o’clock this morning and will be conducted by Rev. Sparks, Melton, D.D., of Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member, and Rev. Dr. Vernon J. Anson, of Grace Baptist Church. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. ********************************************** Norfolk Ledger Dispatch October 28, 1910 Mrs. Susan Gallup, widow of K.R. Gallup, and a most estimable lady, died yesterday afternoon at her home, No. 587 Church Street, after only a brief illness, having been taken ill Wednesday night, aged sixty-three years. She is survived by one son, Dr. L.J. Gallup, of Norfolk, and two sisters. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. The funeral occurs at 11 a.m. tomorrow from her late residence, Rev. Drs. Melton and Rev. Anson officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
