Virginian Pilot Wednesday October 21, 1981

Augustus Winingder Gallup, 82, of 156 Orleans Circle, a native of Norfolk, died 
Tuesday in a hospital.
He was a Methodist.
Survivors include three sisters, Emily M. Gallup, Alberta C. Sykes, and 
Florence L. Carmine of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by the 
Rev. David B. Lewis. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, has charge. 
Memorial donations may be mad to the Heart Fund or First United Methodist 
Church.
