Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch February 16, 1954
Mrs. Martha Roberts Galt, 44, wife of Carrington G. Galt, died at her residence, 
2401 Victoria Boulevard, Hampton, Monday, after a long illness. She was a native 
of Hampton, and had resided there all her life.
Mrs. Galt was a member of the Wythe Presbyterian Church, Hampton.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Galt is survived by one daughter, Miss Alice 
Blair Galt, Hampton; one sister, Z. V. Jones, Washington, D.C.; and one brother, 
Frank Roberts, of Hampton.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Lawrence D. Wood Funeral Home, 
Hampton, Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Howard E. Mallinson, pastor of the Wythe 
Presbyterian Church, will officiate. The body will be brought to Norfolk for 
interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
