NORFOLK - John B. Galvin Jr., 62, of 255 N. Blake Road died Saturday at 10:33 
a.m. in a hospital.
A Newburgh, N.Y., native, he lived in this area 50 years.
He was the husband of Mrs. Nancy Godwin Galvin and a son of John B. and Mrs. May 
McCann Galvin.
He was president of Sign Manufacturers of Virginia, a Catholic, and a member of 
Elks Lodge 38, Lake Wright Golf Club, and Moose Lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John B. Galvin of Greensboro, 
N.C., and James M. Galvin of Burlington, N.C.; two brothers, James A. Galvin of 
Virginia Beach and William R. Galvin of Alexandria; a sister, Miss Margaret 
Galvin of Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for 
a funeral service Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Carl A. Poole of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church and the Rev. Stanley W. Easty of Episcopal Church of 
the Epiphany.
