Mr. Galvin, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, had been connected with the Water Department for a number of years. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vincent P. Bell and Mrs. Mary E. Lanigan, of Norfolk; three sons, John A. and Joseph F. Galvin, of Washington, D. C., and James A. Galvin, a member of the Norfolk Police Division; a sister, Mrs. Walter S. Buchanan, of Norfolk, and 21 grandchildren. Remains will be taken from the residence, 210 Graydon Avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence this evening at 8 o'clock. FUNERALS JAMES EDWARD GALVIN - Funeral services for Mr. Galvin, whose death occurred Tuesday at a local hospital, were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church yesterday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. T. P. Scannell officiating. The Rev. M. J. Harrison and the Rev. Paul V. Heller were in the sanctuary. In his address at the conclusion of the mass, Father Heller spoke of the importance of preparation for life eternal. Several selections were sung by the eighth grade choir of Sacred Heart school, with Mrs. C. R. Davies as organist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, roses and fern. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. T. P. Scannell, the Rev. M. J. Harrison and the Rev. Paul V. Heller. Pallbearers were E. J. Gorman, Linwood Dashiell, H. L. Frazelle, W. H. Butler, J. T. Holland, A. E. Price, Robert Walker and W. F. Jenkins.
