NORFOLK — Mrs. Miranda McCann Galvin, 82, of 242 W. 31st St., the widow of John B. 
Galvin and a daughter of John and Mrs. Miranda McCann, died in a hospital Friday 
afternoon.
A native of Cohoes, N.Y., she lived here most of her life.
She was the retired owner and operator of Mom’s Restaurant at the Ford plant.
She is survived by three sons, James A. Galvin of Virginia Beach, John B. Galvin 
of Norfolk, and William R. Galvin of Alexandria; three grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church for a Requiem Mass Monday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery.
