Buchanan, Chapel Street, Sunday, in the 76th year of his age. The deceased was most highly esteemed in the community, where he had resided for forty years. He had been ill at his home for ten days. He is survived by a son and two daughters, Mr. James Galvin, Mrs. Joseph Bamberger and Mrs. Walter S. Buchanan. The funeral will be held from St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 o'clock this morning. *********** GALVIN - At the residence of his son-in-law, Walter S. Buchanan, No. 387 Chapel Street, Sunday, February 22, 1903, at 5 o'clock a.m., JOHN GALVIN, in the 75th year of his age. Funeral services from St. Mary's Catholic Church THIS (Tuesday) MORNING, at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. ******************************************************************************* The obsequies of Mr. John Galvin, whose death has been noted in these columns, were solemnized from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 10 o’clock yesterday morning in the presence of a large concourse of the friends of the deceased. Requiem mass for the dead was said by Rev. Father John Doherty, pastor of the church, who paid a beautiful tribute to the life and character of the deceased. There was a beautiful display of floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. James O’Rourke, John R. Coleman, James Corbett, John Carty, Michael Cashin, John F. Lawler, John H. Butt and John Corbett.
