Gamage died last night at the residence of his brother, John A. Gamage, 200 E. Twenty-seventh Street, in his 38th year after a month's illness. He was a young man of exemplary Christian character, a devoted son and brother, retiring in manner but ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Those who knew him best loved him best. For many years he was associated with C.M. Bayne & Co., in the building material business. He was the son of the late J.W. Gamage. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Fannie C. Gamage and two brothers, John A. and Tunstall M. Gamage; two sisters, Mrs. A.P. Long and Miss Mary H. Gamage. The funeral services will be held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. H.C. Pfeiffer, D.D. and Rev. George E. Booker, D.D., officiating. Gamage took place at the residence of his brother, John A. Gamage, 200 East Twenty-seventh Street, yesterday afternoon, Rev. H.C. Pfeiffer, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church, and Rev. G.E. Booker, pastor of the Park Place Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: N.L. Clay, Frank H. Smith, C. Preston Denby, C.M. Bayne, H.B. Finch and C.E. Culpepper.
