Gamage, wife of the late John O. Gamage, died at her home in the Toxaway Apartments at 1:30 p.m. Monday, after a lingering illness, in the eightieth year of her age. She was a native of Virginia and had been a resident of Norfolk for half century, where she was well known and highly esteemed, for her many Christian virtues and beautiful traits of character. She is survived by a son, John W. Gamage, and two daughters, Misses Nancy Clay and Edna Sue Gamage. Funeral services will be held from her late residence at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Thomas A. Smoot, of Epworth M. E. Church, of which the deceased was a member. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
