Virginian-Pilot March 31, 1935
Mrs. Fannie Camp Gamage, aged 70, widow of John W. Gamage and daughter of George 
Washington and Clara Moody Camp, died in Greensboro, N.C., Friday afternoon at 
5:45 o'clock. Mrs. Gamage was a native of Petersburg and for many years was a 
well-known resident of Norfolk. For the past several years, she had been a 
resident of Greensboro. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. A. P. Long, of 
Richmond, and Mrs. D. R. Haesloop, of Greensboro; a son, John Albert Gamage, of 
Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Leila Clay, of Palma, Spain, and Mrs. Ida Ladd, of 
Washington; two brothers, Arthur Camp, of Houston, Tex., and J. W. Camp, of 
Norfolk, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Thomas A. Smoot, 
D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
