VIRGINIA BEACH — Herbert Andrea Gambardella Jr., 40, of the 100 block of 
Upperville Road, a painter, died Sept. 17,1989, in his home.
Mr. Gambardella, a native of Norfolk, was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic 
Church
Survivors include his wife, Anita Parker Gambardella; a daughter, Angela M. 
Gambardella of Norfolk; his parents, Marjorie L. and Herbert A. Gambardella Sr., 
and a brother, Ronald M. Gambardella, all of Virginia Beach.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Gregory’s 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Luke Policichio. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery, Norfolk. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today, and friends may 
join the family until 8:30 p.m. today, in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Kempsville Chapel.
