The Virginian-Pilot,Tuesday, August 8, 1961

NORFOLK - James C. Gamble, 57, of 2429 Ruffin St. died Sunday at 11:20 p.m. in a 
Norfolk hospital. He was a son of Charles H. and Mrs. Ammie Gamble and was a 
Manning, S.C., native.

He was a member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge No. 87; the Royal Arch; Knights 
Templar; Arabia Temple No. 12; Alpha and Omega Scottish Rite Consistory No. 9; 
and the united Supreme Council, Southern Jurisdiction of 33rd, degree Masons.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Geraldine B. Gamble; and two aunts, Mrs. Dinah 
Gamble of Norfolk and Mrs. Wilhemina Sanders of Philadelphia.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK - A funeral service for James C. Gamble, 57, of 2429 Ruffin St., who 
died Sunday, will be held in New Calvary Baptist Church today at 1:30 p.m. by 
Elder Samuel A. Wilson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory 
Funeral Home in charge.
