Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 5, 1944

Mrs. Isabelle Thompson Gantt, aged 75, widow of Thomas Jefferson Gantt, and 
daughter of the late Samuel and Mrs. Margaret Thompson, a native of Howard 
County, Md. and a resident of Norfolk for the past 50 years, died at 12:30 
o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. She resided at 1340 W. Thirty-
seventh Street. Surviving her are one daughter, Miss Margaret Jefferson Gantt, 
of Norfolk and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, of which she was 
a member, for services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.
