NORFOLK — Dr. Jose Garcia, 49, of 283 Sir Oliver Road, husband of Mrs. Emma J. 
Garcia and son of Mrs. Ophelia Diaz Garcia and the late Pedro Garcia, died 
Wednesday at 3:50 a m. in a Norfolk hospital.
Dr. Garcia, a native of Havana, Cuba, practiced medicine in Cuba 19 years. He had 
been employed at DePaul Hospital since last July.
Besides his widow and mother, he is survived by a brother, Jose M. Garcia of 
Norfolk.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church for a funeral service Friday at 10 a m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
