NORFOLK — Manuel F. Garcia Sr., 70, of 4203 Heutte Drive, son of Peter and Mrs. 
Mary Garcia, died Wednesday at 4:20 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Coruna, Spain, he lived in Norfolk 52 years.
He was a retired barber.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. H. P. DeAngelo of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary C. 
Wilcher of San Francisco; three sons, Dominic L. Garcia, Manuel F. Garcia Jr. and 
Edward S. Garcia of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Lopez of Coruna, Spain; a 
brother, Frank Garcia of Philadelphia; 21 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Pius X 
Catholic Church for a funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral apartments tonight at 
8:30.
