Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 30, 1919
William Henry Gardner, aged 77 years and 6 months, died at the residence of his 
son, W.T. Gardner, 156 Bainbridge street, South Norfolk, yesterday morning at 3:30 
o'clock.  He was a native of North Carolina and had been living here only five 
months.  He is survived by these children: W.T. Gardner, Miss Lula Gardner and 
Mrs. Gertrude Collins.  
The funeral will be held at the above residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and 
burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
