Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 26, 1954
Miss Kalula Gardner, 86, died Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the residence of Mrs. Bell 
Brock, Back Bay, Princess Anne County, after a long illness.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., she had lived in this section most of her life.  
Her late parents were William Henry and Mrs. Mary Etta Gardner.
Surviving are two nephews, William T. Gardner, of Norfolk County and Paul Collins, 
of South Norfolk.
The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where 
funeral services will be conducted today at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
