Norfolk Virginian August 1, 1867
DIED
Yesterday morning, at half-past 9 o'clock, Mrs. ALICE GARDNER, aged 80 years.
The friends and acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend her 
funeral THIS AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock, from the residence of her son-in-law, Wm. B. 
Seal, corner York and Botetourt streets.

Additional Comments:
While her tombstone has her date of death as August 31, 1867, from this obituary, 
it must have been July 31.
