Funeral service of Mrs. Eliza Garner was held at Queen Street Baptist Church last 
Sunday. Rev. T. D. Lee, officiating. Several selections were rendered by the choir 
and Mrs. Rotelia Perkins sang a solo. Quite a number were present, including some 
of her white friends. Floral tributes were many in number. The deceased is 
survived by four daughters, Mesdames C. Alexander, of Philadelphia, Lucille 
Skinner, Misses Alice and Hattie Patterson, two sons, Johnnie and Walter 
Patterson, of New York. They were called from their homes to the bedside of their 
mother Feb. 16. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
