Norfolk - Luther Garner of 807 Tidewater Drive, an employe of Haynes Furniture 
Warehouse on Virginia Beach Boulevard, died Thursday, May 29 in his home.

A native of Norfolk, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Helena Bowman, Mrs. Gwendolyn Garner, Ms. 
Barbara Garner, and Ms. Valerie Garner, and two sons, Larry Garner and Luther 
Garner, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Herndon and Mrs. Helen Norfleet 
of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mildred Jackson of Baltimore; a brother, Walter Garner of 
Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, June 2, in Graves Funeral Chapel with burial 
in Calvary Cemetery.
