Norfolk Landmark August 18, 1891
The remains of Mrs. Mary Anne Garnett, relict of the late Henry Garnett, arrived 
here yesterday morning from Smithfield, where she died Sunday, while on a visit to 
relatives there, her home being in Norfolk with her daughter, Mrs. Lucy B. Jordan, 
No. 210 Freemason street, whence the funeral took place in the afternoon. The 
service was conducted by the Rev. A. S. Lloyd, of St. Luke's P. E. Church. The 
following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. John B. Whitehead, R. C. Taylor, 
E. M. Henry, Washington Taylor, J. S. Culpepper and T. A. Williams.
