Lonnie L. Garrett, of 803 Dennison avenue, died Dec. 21 in a Norfolk hospital.  
He was a retired employee of the Railway Express Agency and a member of the 
Auxiliary Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks.

Funeral services were Dec. 24 at Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. E. Paul Simms, 
pastor, First Baptist Church, Bute street, officiating.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie H. Garrett;  two daughters, Mesdames 
Mariah G. White of New York City and Muriel Bolding of the Bronx;  one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Saunders of New Jersey;  one son, Melvin L. Garrett of 
Norfolk and one stepson, Elias Artis of Elizabeth City, NC.
