FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Mrs. Maude L. Garrett, 72, of 1537 N.W. 9th Ave., a 
resident of Norfolk most of her life, died Wednesday in Miami. She was the widow 
of Cecil Garrett.
She was a native of Kalamazoo, Mich. She was retired from Norfolk Naval Air 
Station.
Surviving are two sons, Charles R. Kidd of Norfolk and Robert A. Kidd of Virginia 
Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Baublitz of Fort Lauderdale; two sisters, Mrs. Velma 
Kidd of Norfolk and Mrs. Ernie Kuhn of Kalamazoo; and seven grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
