The Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 9, 1937

Joseph “Daddy Two” Garrett, aged 85, husband of Mami Bradley Garrett, died at 
the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Birdie Lee Beem, on the Cottage Toll Road 
last night at 8:30 o’clock. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by a 
brother, Samuel Garrett, of Princess Anne County. Mr. Garrett was a native of 
Currituck County, N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk 41 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at Hollomon Brown Funeral Home Sunday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
