Norfolk - Funeral services were held for Mrs Florine Garris of 882 Johnson 
avenue Sunday in Citizens Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. Van Mooring officiated.  
Interment was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Norfolk, she died March 10 in New York.  Mrs. Garris was the 
widow of Clayton Garris and a daughter of the late Frank Taylor and Mrs. 
Rowena Taylor.  She was a member of Baptist House of Prayer in New York.

Surviving are a brother, Herman Taylor;  and three sisters, Mrs. Mary 
Martin, Mrs. Madge Johnson and Mrs. Gladys  M. Epps.  All are of Norfolk.
