Virginian-Pilot September 13, 1960
NORFOLK - Edward George Garrison Jr., 56, husband of the late Mrs. Louise 
McCalley Garrison and son of Mrs. Cora Genier Garrison and the late Edward 
George Garrison, died at his home, 1010 W. 49th St., Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Through the years he had been interested in boats and boating, especially racing 
boats, and had placed entries in regattas here.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he had been in the employ of the U. S. Naval Air 
Station 24 years and at the time of retirement was a leadman.
Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Betty Lou Mace of Hampton, 
and two grandchildren, Miss Joanne Mace and Deran Mace of Hampton.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 11 
a.m. with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
