Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday September 10, 1928


Mrs. Winnie Jane Garrison, aged 77, widow of William Henry Garrison, died last 
night at 8:30 o’clock at the residence, 221 East Twenty-Sixth Street. She was 
a native of Princess Anne County and had lived in Norfolk for the past 45 
years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John T. Hartman; one sister, Mrs. Jakie 
Sykes, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the 
residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood.
