He was 89. Mr. Gary graduated in 1921 from the Medical College of Virginia. He retired in 1956 as a sales manager for Henry B. Gilpin Co., a wholesale drug company, after 34 years. He served in the Army during World War I. He was a member and past president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Norfolk. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge 34. He had been a member of the Shrine for more than 65 years and was a member of the Khedive Shrine Century Club. Mr. Gary is survived by his wife, Margaret Savage Gary. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Robert L. Watts. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is in charge. Mrs. Gary will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Reid Bulman, 1338 Windsor Point Road. Memorial donations may be sent to a charity of the donors choice.
