               James Berry Gary Dies; Veteran Rail Employee

James Berry Gary, employed by the Virginian Railway for about 30 years, died 
Monday afternoon at the age of 79 in his home at 432 Chapel Street.
Gary, who worked as a chef on one of the road's private cars, was born in 
Petersburg. Prior to his long period of service with the Virginian, he was 
employed in the Norfolk Navy Yard and by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad.
