Mrs. Gaskin was a past president of the Undergraduate and Practical Nurses Assn. of Washington. She was the mother of Mrs. G. Gray Simpson, Jr., of Norfolk. Mrs. Gaskin was a native of Norfolk. Her parents were the late Michael Joseph McCarthy and Mary Ellen Dunn McCarthy. In December 1912, she married Ernest G. Gaskin. They resided in Norfolk and Baltimore until 13 years ago when they went to Washington, where Mr. Gaskin is in the furniture business. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. D. Pritchard of Baltimore, and two grandchildren of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Pumphrey Funeral Home, Silver Springs, Md. Burial will be at a later date in the McCarthy family plot in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
