The Norfolk Virginian Pilot June 23, 1937

Mrs. Viola May Gaskin-Funeral services for Mrs. Gaskin, wife of Lieut. John J. 
Gaskin, U.S.N. (retired) who died Sunday night at a local hospital, were held 
at H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, yesterday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. J.B. Sawyer, pastor of Larchmont Baptist 
Church, and the Rev. E.F. Chauncey; pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle, 
officiating.
