NORFOLK — Mrs. Nora Gates, 61, of 3632 S. Warwick Circle, widow of Harmon A. Gates 
and daughter of James and Mrs. Katherine Maher Mulqueen, died in a hospital Friday 
at 3:20 a.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church.
She is survived by two sons, James C. Gates of Norfolk and Albert M. Gates of 
Washington; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Saunders, of Norfolk; three brothers, Martin J. 
Mulqueen and William T. Mulqueen of Norfolk and John D. Mulqueen of Buckroe Beach; 
and seven grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in Christ the King Catholic Church Monday at 9:30 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
