Robert Gatewood, who died early this morning at his home, No. 189 Boush Street, takes place from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock. Mr. Gatewood’s death followed a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered several days ago. He was 80 years of age and a native of Norfolk. His life had been of great use fullness to the community and he was loved and honored by all who had the pleasure and good fortune of knowing him. His life had been an example worthy of emulation of all good citizens. Mr. Gatewood at the time of his death and for many years past had been rector of St. Paul’s P.E. Church, Berkley. He is survived by his widow and four children, the latter being Miss Elizabeth Gatewood, Dr. James E. Gatewood, U.S.N., William Gatewood, and Miss Virginia Gatewood.
