Sam Gaylord, aged 50 years, died suddenly Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at 28 
Houston street. He resided in Richmond, Va. The body is at Poole’s chapel awaiting 
the arrival of relatives.

Chief of Police Kizer yesterday received a telegram from the chief of police of 
Atlanta, Ga., to the effect that the body of a man who dropped dead on the streets 
of Atlanta several days ago, had been identified as Sam Gaylord of Norfolk. 
Identification is said to have been made by means of a photograph the man had in 
his possession.
Mrs. Marion J. Kemp, 2619 Church street, mother of Gaylord, is trying to establish 
a more positive identification and is communicating with the Atlanta police.

Sam Gaylord, aged 35, died at a private sanitarium last Monday morning at 4 
o'clock. The body will be sent by Harry G. Poole's undertaking establishment to 
Norfolk, Va., this morning at 9 o'clock for funeral and interment.
